Pros
- Good for advanced
- No crowds
- Children 7 and under ski for free
Cons
- Much smaller than Silver Star and Big White
Overall
A relatively small local's hill in British Columbia, Apex is known for its solid advanced terrain and quality snow (though less of it compared to other resorts). Expert backcountry terrain is accessible within a short hike and while the high elevation can suffer from wind, the lower terrain is well protected. The resort is mostly serviced by a single high-speed quad with very few crowds. Don't miss the Gunbarrel Coffee in the on-mountain restaurant - a flaming grand marnier poured down a double barrel shotgun into liqueur and coffee.

No greater small mountain, steep runs and one glorious modern high speed quad in the world, access everything from the top. Greatest place ever. Ski like a local and grumble about a 5 min line on the busiest day of the season. Heaven!... Moreexpert skier

Good fun for the whole family, something for every ability with lots of steeps and trees. It usually feels like you have the place pretty much to yourself. Cool mountain without pretensions.... Moreadvanced snowboarder

What a fun place. It’s a smaller mountain but still great. I was here a few years ago for an event and Apex Mt did not disappoint. The mountain was fun and the people that work there are very nice. There was accommodation right on the mountain. We stayed and rode for 3 days. The snow was great.... Moreadvanced snowboarder

A mostly hidden gem - feels like giving away a local secret writing this.
It was an epic snow year, we had so much fresh powder and it stayed cold. It was dry and light. Any week day you could ski right onto the lift with no wait and the weekends were only marginally busier. The terrain is a great mix of epic steeps, chutes, glades, spaces tree... Moreexpert skier
