Winter Park Restaurants Closed

On the Mountain

If you need a quick bite to eat but do not want to pull yourself away from the mountain, you can visit the following restaurants for lunch and resume your fun on the hill. Be prepared to pay for convenience though, as both restaurants are consistent with exorbitant mountain resort prices.

Lunch Rock: Alpine sports are hunger-inspiring pursuits, that’s why Lunch Rock sits at the top of Mary Jane and features a kitchen serving American fare and a full service bar.

Snoasis: Located between the base of the Eskimo and Prospector lifts, Snoasis sits atop the Winter Park territory and features a large, comprehensive menu of burgers, fries, pizza, sandwiches, chips, sodas and so on.

Casa Mexico: Casa Mexico serves standard Mexican fare as well as essential American standards and is known for serving free shots to customers straight from a hoof. Expect expedient service in a friendly, cozy setting.

Fraser

Here is a list of restaurants that are worth a visit even if you are staying in Winter Park or on-resort, especially if you’re craving a change of scenery. We’ve tried them all and they are all great dining options.

Sharky’s Eatery: Consider Sharky's Eatery for breakfast and lunch, served by warm local personalities in a welcoming setting.

Elevation Pizza: Meanwhile, Elevation Pizza serves upmarket calzones, pizzas and sandwiches in case you’ve got a palate that craves a good dousing of garlic.

Crooked Creek Saloon and Creekside Eatery: If you’re in Fraser, the Crooked Creek Saloon and Creekside Eatery is a great hangout spot with a “down to earth” vibe, affordable drinks, live music and a generous happy hour. It is open late and known for generously poured drinks and down-home cooking. Step in here if you want to take in regional historical flair and knock back a few stiff drinks with seasoned locals who frequent the joint year round.

Après Ski

Nothing compliments an amazing day on the slopes like unwinding on a night out among the locals. You can meet locals just about anywhere, but we’ve come up with a list of establishments where they get together to party on a regular basis. Winter Park is also an international tourist destination, so foreign visitors with accents are common and treated with friendliness and respect.

The following restaurants and bars are located along Highway 40 and are known for being local staples as well as places sought out by tourists looking for a more genuine experience.

Ullrs Tavern: If a few games of pool and some live music is your après-ski remedy, Ullrs Tavern is a nightclub that offers both. Don’t expect white linen tablecloths or red carpet treatment though - this place is the “real deal.”
