Pros
  • Features glades for skiers of all abilities
  • Natural micro-climate means more snow here than at nearby mountains
  • Tasty French cuisine available at the restaurants
Cons
  • Some antiquated ski lifts still in operation

Overall

3.1

It's not the biggest ski area around, but what makes Mont Sutton stand out amongst the crowd is its tons of gladed terrain; which would otherwise be off limits or overgrown at other East Coast resorts. The resort is horizontally long and vertically short and is located in Quebec sitting between Jay Peak and Montreal. Just a 30 minutes drive from the border, Mont Sutton is a perfect little French Canadian getaway if you're already exploring Northern Vermont.
