Stratton Mountain is a gem and a fantastic mountain for those traveling from south of Vermont. Stratton has an excellent, clean resort area at the base of the mountain and overcrowding is hardly ever an issue. We enjoy the wide trails and there are many alternative routes from top to bottom for those looking to escape the "busy" trails. The Gondola... Moreadvanced snowboarder

Stratton is a great alternative to the other local VT mountains. The atmosphere is great and it is very family oriented. The lines seem to move quicker than other resorts in the area of similar size.... Moreexpert skier

Stratton is my new favorite place to go. It’s only a little over 2 hours away from me and it has some amazing terrain. The glades and groomers are always fire. The terrain park isn’t always the best but they do alright. Most of the time people go there for everything else though so it doesn’t matter to much. The one downfall is it’s kind of pricey... Overall, I like Stratton. Workers are friendly, grooming is done pretty well. I like the gondola of course. There's a pretty nice mix of easy, intermediate, and difficult trails. Snowboard friendly too.... Moreintermediate snowboarder

For the northeast one of the better spots. Love the scenery and the trails are beautifully appointed with great mature trees. Also provides some of the better free skiing in the northeast. The gondola is great but prefer lifts so we don’t have to take our skis off. Should definitely be the go to spot for southern part of vt.... Moreadvanced skier

Good terrain by southern Vermont standards, but nothing very steep. Avoid Saturday’s, way to crowded. Not worth that $$$$ lift ticket to stand in line all day. If you must go on a Saturday, get there early!... Moreadvanced skier

Great range of trails and features. So close to Philly and New York you could make it a day trip if you wanted. Loved the surprising amount of gladed areas. So much fun!... Moreadvanced skier

Stratton is a great resort for a little getaway, its not a relatively large resort and the runs, at any level aren't particularly very challenging nor difficult. The food at this resort is pretty darn good! And the facilities can accommodate for the influx of people, especially on the weekends. Lifts run generally quicker but the layout is a bit... My home mountain, so I'm maybe biased but still realistic. Snow and grooming are truly the best in the east. Even with unfavorable weather the mountain operations crew always delivers world class conditions on the slopes. As for lifts, years of underinvestment by Intrawest has led to unreliable lifts the last few seasons. This seems like it... Moreexpert skier

Best snowmaking and grooming on the east coast. Even with adverse weather they get the mountain into great shape so snow quality is rarely a problem. Foodservice in the lodge can be slow.... Moreexpert skier
