Park City Restaurants Open

There are so many restaurants in the Park City area, just about all of them family-friendly, that you can probably find something for just about any type of food you could want. Narrowing down your preferred delicacy might be a good first step! Once you do that, you can check out Yelp for the best restaurants in your category – but having said that, here are some of our personal recommendations.

On the Mountain

All the on-mountain food options are more expensive than in town. 

Cloud Dine: At the Canyons, Cloud Dine has good food and breathtaking views, but they tend to be very crowded and finding a seat can be quite the challenge.

Lookout Cabin: We recommend Lookout Cabin which has great food, accepts reservations and isn’t that much more expensive, offering a much better experience. 

Summit House: The Summit House is conveniently located at the top of the Motherlode Express, and offers a great view with your food.

Off the Mountain

Park City has a wide variety of dining options for off-mountain dining. The Main Street at Park City offers all sorts great restaurants and everything is within walking distance, but you'll also be able to find some great restaurants on the Canyons side too. 

Restaurants in Park City

Riverhorse on Main: For something a bit fancy, Riverhorse on Main is one of Park City's finest, offering eclectic American cuisine. Its got high ceilings and an interior palette of birch and earthy grey tones making for a spacious bistro ambiance. Reservations are a must, as are the hand-cut buffalo tartare and the macadamia nut crusted Alaskan halibut. 

Shabu: Set in the heart of Park City, consider Shabu for another higher-end restaurant, serving a range of Asian dishes including sushi. 

Bridge Cafe and Grill: For mid-range dining options, check out an old town Brazilian restaurant called the Bridge Cafe and Grill, with awesome food and reasonable prices.

Cafe Terigo: Cafe Terigo is another popular spot just a few doors down from Riverhorse on Main, dishing up modern Italian cuisine. The menu features classic dishes with local twists, like the grilled pork chop with cracked mustard demi-glaze, grilled peaches, and soft polenta. For all the pasta lovers out there, everything is made in-house; try their traditional veal and pork bolognese on housemade pappardelle pasta with asiago cheese. 

Davanza: On a budget? Davanza's is a family owned and operated restaurant serving up classic Italian comfort food that rivals any restaurant in Boston's North End. They make their dough and marinara sauce in-house and offer pizza creations like Spicy Luau and Mucker Supreme. You'll also find Philly steak sandwiches and street-style tacos here. 

Java Cow Coffee & Ice Cream: If you're after coffee and a quick bite, stop by Java Cow, which boasts decadent pastries and breakfast crepes. They also serve homemade ice cream with all natural ingredients.

Restaurants in Canyons Village

Powder at the Waldorf: Powder at the Waldorf is very upscale (and expensive) with attentive service. 

Murdock's Cafe: Pizza at Murdock's Café is our favorite and its location makes it a viable and cheaper alternative to on-mountain dining. 

Alternatively, if you travel to Kimball Junction five miles away, you’ll find plenty of affordable casual options. For other high-end options, try the neighboring Deer Valley, which you can reach by shuttles operated by higher-end lodging properties (usually for only the cost of a tip).

Après-Ski

As with restaurants, there is a wide variety of choices for nightlife in Park City. Our favorites include:

No Name Saloon: A locals’ hangout that welcomes visitors. No Name Saloon claims to have been around since 1903 and it certainly looks the part. You'll be happy to know they have a year-round heated rooftop patio and serve everything from local craft drafts to imports. 

Wasatch Brew Pub: The Wasatch Brew Pub as you might guess, brews its own beer, and has a menu with everything from beef-and-bison burgers to personal pizzas. If you go a little later in the season when it’s warmer out, you can enjoy the outdoor patio. 

High West Distillery Saloon: The High West Distillery and Saloon is also worth a visit, all the more so because it’s ski-in/ski-out. That’s right, it's the world's only ski-in/ski-out whiskey distillery with a buzzing showroom that draws a great crowd. Try one of their signature cocktails like the Dead Man's Boots: a mix of rye, ginger beer, and tequila. 

There is plenty of free live music shows throughout the winter season at Park City and in the Canyons Village. If you're after a venue, check out The Umbrella Bar in the Canyons which has a lively outdoors après scene. In Park City, there are plenty of bars and coffee shops in the historic part near the bottom of the Town Lift. If you somehow still have the legs for dancing, Downstairs has DJs and cocktail waitresses who occasionally dance on the bar. We recommend you keep it on the dance floor.
