Very busy, upscale, large village. Some good easy greens and blues at the base of the mountain, but everything feeds into them so they can get very busy and tough for beginners with people racing by. I grew up skiing this resort. I've skied most of the resorts in the Tahoe area and for the North side of the lake, Northstar is my favorite and in my opinion, far away the best on that side of the lake! Great runs, great atmosphere, great views, great resort!! Loved the village too!... More

Northstar California is a great resort to me. Last year was my first year and I loved how long the runs were. Most runs were groomed, if not, they would have it posted on there website. Love the accomodations and restaurants. I live on the Nevada / California border, so it’s a no brainer for me to come here, 30 minutes. Great views of Tahoe!... More

Top notch operation. While some might not care for the lack of steeps and cliffs, the great tree skiing, lack of wind closures, and unique terrain parks and features more than makes up for it. The Village is a great place to have drinks at the end of the day.... More
